IMPORTANT:

• Students must make their first attempt by the indicated first attempt deadline, or they will be locked out of the system and unable to take the exam.
• Gateway exams can only be taken on the computers in the computer labs designated and only at the times given below. NOTE: Check with the instructor of your particular class for information about passing scores and deadlines for taking these exams.
• You MUST PRESENT YOUR MSU ID and KEEP IT OUT ON YOUR DESK AT ALL TIMES WHILE TAKING THE EXAM!
• CALCULATORS and/or notes are NOT ALLOWED to be used during the Gateway exam. Any use of a calculator during the exam will result in immediate termination of the exam, and the grade WILL NOT COUNT.
• Once you start to take a Gateway exam, you MAY NOT LEAVE THE ROOM FOR ANY REASON! Leaving the room will end the exam for you! Please take care of bathroom and other needs before starting the exam.
• You are responsible for bringing BLANK paper with you (several sheets-not a notebook).
• The computer will give you your score when you have completed the exam.
• If there is not enough time left, the monitors administering the exam may elect not to let you start the exam. The ending times below are the times when the exams should end, not the latest time to start an exam.
• It is not advisable to wait until the last minute to take a Gateway exam, as it is possible you will need to take the exam more than once in order to pass. In addition, the number of students wanting to take the exam may increase as it gets closer to the end date.
