How to Enroll in Math Enrichment

Is Math Enrichment for you? Click here to find out!

Step 1A: Getting a sponsor. All Enrichment students have a sponsoring unit. These sponsors are members of our advisory board and help to determine policy within our program. You might get your sponsor based on your major or another special program with which you are involved. We also have a sponsor for those who cannot find a sponsor! Below is a list of our sponsoring units and the contact person for each unit.

If you are a freshman or sophomore and none of these sponsors seems to fit you, then UUD will sponsor you. If you are a junior or senior and none of these sponsors seem to fit you, then the Office of Supportive Services will sponsor you. Once you have determined who will sponsor you, then you will need to meet with the listed contact person. She/He will go over and have you sign a contract. They will also help you choose which section best fits your schedule. For more information on the contract see "Math Enrichment Contract."

Step 1B: Getting your advisor to be your contact person. Besides having a sponsoring unit all enrichment students have a contact person. This contact person is normally your advisor. In the Math Enrichment Program we keep very close tabs on our students academically and personally. If you are having problems or not attending, we guess you may be having bigger problems than just with your math class. We let your advisor know what is going on and ask them to talk with you. Your success is our top priority! By agreeing to be your contact person, your advisor is agreeing to make every effort to help us help you.

Step 2: Getting your override. No student can enroll in a Math Enrichment Section without a computer override. To get your override, you must bring the original copy of your contract to Julie Cioni in the Math Department. Her mailbox is located in A-212 Wells Hall and her office is A-235 Wells Hall. She will double check everything and then guarantee you a seat if space is still available.

Step 3: All that's left is for you to enroll by computer or phone for your Math Enrichment Sections.

IT'S AS EASY AS 1,2,3!!
